Kansas governor plans to sign off on sports betting bill

Gov. Laura Kelly was asked by the Kansas Capitol Bureau when she plans on signing off on the historic sports betting bill, her response was, “I never say weather I’m going to sign it, until I’ve actually seen it, but I expect that I’m going to get that bill this week.”

This comes after lawmakers in Kansas took action on the plan to legalized sports betting, with the bill having a 21 to 13 vote after an overnight session. Kansas residents will likely be able to place bets on Barstool Sportsbook, BetMGM, Caesars, Draftkings, Hard Rock, and PointsBet all are likely to offer their sports book in the state, however nothing has been confirmed at this time.
