Judge without timetable to return from toe injury
New York Yankees star outfielder Aaron Judge is without a timetable to return from his toe injury, manager Aaron Boone said Thursday."We don't have the timeline," Boone said, according to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch. "We don't know. He got a shot in his toe yesterday. I don't have an answer for you. When we do, we'll give you the best timeline we possibly can."The Yankees placed Judge on the injured list Wednesday with a contusion and ligament sprain in his right big toe. He sustained the injury when he banged into the wall making a catch during Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.Judge said he's remaining patient during his recovery and isn't planning on rushing back to action before the injury is completely healed."There's no timetable, really, which I think is best because there's a couple things going on in there," Judge said, according to Hoch.He added, "I think it's more based on how it's feeling."Judge was off to another terrific start at the plate before the injury. The 31-year-old registered a 1.078 OPS with 19 home runs and 40 RBIs across 49 games this season.Copyright © 2023 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved.
