Ohio has announced that sports betting will become legal on Jan. 1, 2023. This change is good of course but the delay will force them to miss the upcoming football season, the FIFA World Cup, and the start of the NBA and NHL seasons. Ohio is also missing out on tax revenue as they will take 10% of all net betting revenue. Aside from sports betting, mobile betting will also be available so expect to see companies like DraftKings and FanDuel ready in January.
