Pennsylvania Breaks Annual Gaming Revenue Record

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has just unveiled their annual gaming revenue for 2022 and with that, the state has broken its record, showing that iGaming is here to stay. Over the course of 2022, Pennsylvania sportsbooks and online casinos handled $7.25 billion and $1.36 billion, smashing the previous record and totaling $8.61 billion. The sportsbook handle increased 10.7% year-over-year while online casinos blazed ahead, improving 22.6%. For the sportsbooks, FanDuel led the way with over 50% of Pennsylvania’s sports betting revenue totaling $209.9 million with year-over-year growth of 30.2%. DraftKings trailed with $76.2 million, Barstool Sportsbook with $21.6 million, BetRivers with $18.9 million, and BetPARX with $15.9 million. Pennsylvania finished of the year strong posting $754.8 million for sportsbook handle, $2.69 billion for online casinos, and $2.48 billion for table games, with each posting revenue of $71.2 million, $91.6 million, and $40.3 million respectively.
