BtoBet Report Shows U.S. Sports Betting Gross Revenue Could Triple In Three Years

The sportsbook supplier BtoBet recently released a report regarding betting focus in the U.S and the numbers are high. The report estimates that in the next three years the $7.7 billion in U.S sports betting and online gambling gross revenue could triple. The data shown in the report reaffirms that at the pace sports betting and online gaming is going gross revenue will reach $24.3 billion by 2026. BtoBet backs up their report by stating that almost every U.S. state has at one point or another considered the legalization of sports betting. Casino Stocks Jump After Macau Unveils Reopening Plans

After many delays due to Covid, Macau has finally announced they will be reopening their doors for tourism from mainland China in November, the first time since restrictions were placed in early 2020. Concluding the announcement, Macau casino stocks jumped as investors hope for a promising return. Sands China (SCHYY) was the top mover up +15.7% and Galaxy Entertainment (GXYYY) followed up +7.2%. The reopening could be the start rebound as before Covid began, Macau saw around 92% of their visitors came from greater China and Taiwan.

Bally’s Approved For Tropicana Takeover

After recent approval from Las Vegas, Bally’s Corporation has received the go-ahead to takeover operations of the Tropicana Las Vegas. The approval allows Bally’s to close a deal with Tropicana worth $308 million, acquire the casino from Gaming and Leisure Properties. Bally’s stated they will release a new marketing strategy for the Tropicana in three to six months, hinting at the potential of a complete redevelopment though they will run the casino the as is for the next 18 to 24 months. Bally’s is the third largest casino operator in the U.S. with 17 casinos in 11 different states.
