South Carolina will have to keep waiting for sports betting as their recent attempt has come to a stop. This is the states second year making the push with no avail though they remain persistent. A quote from the head of government affairs at Sportradar states, “It’s done, but I think that next year, once we get out of the election year, there’ll be a real conversation,” implying that the election year makes the decision harder. So far for 2022, only Maine and Kansas have legalized sports betting.
