WarHorse Casino Lincoln Launches Nebraska's First Sportsbook
WarHorse Casino Lincoln has announced the opening of its sportsbook, marking the much-anticipated introduction of sports betting in Nebraska. Customers can place wagers at the casino’s sportsbook window or through the convenience of 10 kiosks within the facility. The casino has partnered with Kambi Group and hired experienced industry professional Jason Johnston to manage the sports betting operations. Nebraska residents’ desire for sports wagering has been met, following the approval of ballot initiatives in 2020. While bets must be placed onsite, WarHorse’s app allows users to streamline their wagers. The extensive sports wagering catalog, approved by the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission, covers various professional and college sports, potentially revitalizing gambling tax revenues in the state, which have experienced a recent decline. Other casinos in Grand Island and Columbus plan to incorporate sports betting in the future, but implementation may take several months.
