New numbers from a survey taken by the American Gaming Association (AGA) are showing that this could be a record breaking Super Bowl for sports betting. The numbers show that an estimated 50.3 million people plan to place a wager on Super Bowl LVII which would put the estimated handle for the game at around $16 billion. A recent survey taken by the AGA shows that 34% of viewers believe that the inclusion of legal gambling has made NFL games more enjoyable to watch and with all the new state legalizations in 2022, the big game will have more bettors than ever before. Though the number of male bettors exceeds female by 250%, another interesting stat from AGA shows that women are outpacing men in downloading betting apps with 4.6 million female users joining in 2021, a 115% year-on-year growth.
