Flutter Full Year Earnings Call Thursday

Flutter Entertainment, the parent company of several leading online gambling brands including Paddy Power, Betfair, and FanDuel, will report its full-year earnings on Thursday. During the earnings call, Flutter executives may face questions regarding a potential FanDuel listing in the US. Jefferies, a global investment bank, stated that a US listing “makes sense” for Flutter, as the company commands a premium valuation in the industry. Flutter is already listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. However, a joint listing in the US could provide the company with access to a larger pool of investors and potentially increase its market capitalization.

Missouri Senate Committee Discusses Sports Betting Legalization Bills

The Missouri Senate Appropriations Committee has recently heard two bills that would allow the legalization of sports betting in Missouri. If approved the new bills would allow Missouri residents and visitors to bet on sporting events but lawmakers are divided over the legalization of video lottery terminals. The proposed SB30 bill would legalize sports betting in Missouri while introducing a 10% tax on wagers with no provisions for lottery machines while the SB-1 bill replicates SB30 at 10% tax and addresses the video lottery terminals proposing a 36% tax. SB-1, proposed by Sen. Denny Hoskins is estimated by Hoskins to generate revenues of over $250 million in slot machines. Optimism Grows For Legal Sports Betting In North Carolina

Optimism for legal sports betting in North Carolina is growing as new developments have been made for Senate Bill 688, which would ultimately open the doors for sports betting in the Tar Heel State. SB 688 would also allow PGA Tour events and professional sports venues with a capacity of over 17,000  to open retail sportsbooks. A quote from one of SB 688’s sponsors, Sen.
