Mark Cuban Shares His “Vegas Vision” For Texas

Business Mogul and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has just unveiled massive new plans that could give Dallas and Texas an economic uproar, bringing legalized gambling and sports betting to the Lone Star State. A quote from Mark Cuban about the plans states, “My goal, and we’d partner with Las Vegas Sands, is when we build a new arena it’ll be in the middle of a resort and casino… That’s the mission.” Though Texas has continued to push against legal sports betting and gaming, every major sports franchise is already a member of the Sports Betting Alliance, however Cuban is the first owner to publicly announce his desire to partner with a casino. New Jersey Posts October Gaming Revenue, Sports Betting Down After NY Launch

New Jersey has just unveiled their monthly revenue report from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement and the numbers for October show $441.1 million, a 1% drop from Septembers report. Casinos were responsible for the majority of the revenue totaling $214.5 million with their nine operators showing a year-to-date win of $2.57 billion, a gain of 9.7% when compared to 2021. Online gaming in the state came in second with $146.2 million in revenue, a 23.9% year on year boost. Sports betting saw a decline this month down 29.9% year on year with $80.4 million from $1.1 billion in bets placed. MGM Springfield Granted Sports Betting License

Gambling regulators have just announced good news for MGM Springfield, awarding them with their sports betting license on Monday. This gives them the all clear to have in-person betting in their casino at launch when it open early in 2023. The approval of MGM Springfield’s bid makes it the second casino in Massachusetts to acquire a retail sports wagering license. The vote to award the license came after a unanimous vote though they had to push through some turmoil to argue in favor of the casino. MGM Springfield has already completed the area for their sports betting facility saying they installed a 45 foot screen to show games, a bar and seating as well as a wagering counter and betting kiosks.
