Illinois gamblers bet $286 million on March Madness

State revenue figures have been released, and according to the figure bettors wagered $286.2 million on March Madness. The Sportsbooks came out ahead by more than $14.3 million collectively on college hoops. The casino win generated almost $2.2 million in Illinois tax payer revenue.
The Hollywood Casino Aurora closed out the NCAA tournament in the red by almost $7000 dollars being Illinois only sportsbook to end in the red this years tournament. Illinois gamblers have now placed down more than $10 billion on the sports industry since March of 2020.
