Sports betting provider pays $500,000 to Washington D.C. over Super Bowl mishap
The D.C. lottery has received $500,000 in compensation from GambetDC due to lost revenue and reputation damage from a technical issue that kept the app offline during the Super Bowl. A mishandled software update by Inralot cause Apple to suspend the GambetDC app ahead of the Super Bowl leaving apple users unable to place bets. Since the app launched, GambetDC has received mixed reviews due to its interface and lower payouts compared to privately owned apps.
