Kansas sports betting bill earmarks 80% of states tax revenue to sports stadium.
The Kansas House passed a bill allowing casinos to earmark 80% of state tax revenue from the new gaming business to a special fund for financing of a professional sports facility. The stadium provision was put into the package negotiated by three House and three Senate members at the request of House leadership. Kansas tax on sports wagering is 10% compared to other states like Arkansas at 20% and Maryland at 15%.
